Human Trafficking

Mu Chapter has adopted Human Trafficking awareness as its chapter philanthropy and supports Tampa bay mission of preventing trafficking in our neighborhoods, and  have dedicated each month of January to Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention. Tampa Bay is the third largest hub for human trafficking in the nation and we aim to one day eradicate the trade of men, women and children'

Breast Cancer Awareness

Mu sisters actively support Breast Cancer Awareness within our community. Our support of this cause comes in various avenues: from fundraising campaigns; educational workshops to create awareness; active participation in run/walk events and volunteer participation with organizations.

Trio Program

TRIO includes eight programs targeted to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities to progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to post baccalaureate programs.

The Purpose of Sigma Lambda Gamma

The purpose of Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority shall be primarily one of promoting standards of excellence in morality, ethics, and education.
Further, the sorority shall work to better serve the needs and wants of all people, by disseminating information about the diverse culture, which we all share.
Finally, the sorority shall maintain respect for the views of others through this valuing, thereby enhancing our understanding of one another, and thus bettering our community, our country, and the world.
